Policy Brief: The impact of EU external migration policies on sustainable development in Africa

What is the impact of EU external migration policies on sustainable development in Africa? This policy brief reviews evidence from West, North and the Horn of Africa and comes at the end of a fruitful cooperation between FES and Caritas Europa within the framework of the EU-supported MIND project. The paper was prepared by Amanda Bisong, European Centre for Development Policy Management, and commented on by a wide range of experts in the fields of migration and development cooperation during a recent closed-door workshop. The policy recommendations contained in the brief reflect the outcome of the discussions that were held.
